We're about three weeks behind on our blogging...but don't think we haven't been up to anything exciting. We've been very busy....so busy that Mommy hasn't had a chance to help me update my blog. Now that Mommy's spring break is here, we finally have a moment to sit down and update you on everything the Fritz family has been doing during the past three weeks. Here we go....

You know that Mommy and Daddy are huge Washington Capitals fans...so naturally I am too! Í have been to a total of six Caps games now (three recently) and have been cheering on our guys to help them rally and make the playoffs. Everyone is always impressed with how alert I am while the puck in in play and how interested in the game action I am. I like almost everything about the Caps games...I'm just not a fan of the scoring buzzer. Mommy thinks its too loud and comes without warning so she wants to go back to using earplugs when we're at the Verizon Center for playoff hockey. Daddy says playoff hockey is louder anyways so it is probably a good idea if I start wearing earplugs to the games.

Even though I love watching the Caps games lives...I'm a devoted fan who watches my team on the road too! I even accidentily went to a Caps viewing party at Southside 815 in Old Town Alexandria and got to meet two Red Rockers and Slapshot. I wasn't crazy about Slapshot but I liked the pretty Caps cheerleaders. Even at home I don't usually make it through the third period because I'm usually sleeping...hey I'm only five months old!

Sundays are still my swimming days and I am having so much fun in the pool at my Splish Splash Baby Class but I only have a few more weeks before I move in to the Swim Babies Class. I have become very comfortable in the water and my skills are improving all the time. Mommy dunks me regularly now and I never cry when my face goes under the water. I can float on my back almost all by myself if Mommy or Daddy supports only my head with one of their hands. Coach Lauren teaches me lots of exciting swim tricks but she is also teaching Mommy and Daddy to trust the water's buoyancy. We've been using waterproof plastic mirrors to help us put our heads back when we are floating and to make tummy time more fun. Daddy had fun using the mirror as a prop in some of our swimming pictures. And because I visit the swimming pool every weekend and I'm a fashonista, Savta and Mommy are still buying me lots of cute swimsuits to show off in. I now have 13 swimsuits...but don't worry they are all different sizes!  |

Brains and Beauty for this Little Cutie
Mommy knows the importance of reading to children at an early age because she's a first grade teacher...and luckily for Mommy...I LOVE to read. I especially love to hold the book touch the pictures while I am listening to someone read me the words. My three favorite books right now are Where's Biscuit, Barnyard Dance and Peek-a-boo Forest. On Friday I celebrated Pesach (Passover) with Savta, Saba, Aunt Orly, Dave Fry, Mommy and Daddy and I helped Mommy read her Haggadah. I liked the pages with the frogs.......ribbit, ribbit, ribbit!

Since the weather has been beautiful and Washington, D.C. is blooming with Cherry Blossoms...Mommy decided to take me into the city to walk around the zoo while Daddy was working a few Saturdays ago. We invited Mommy's friend Kimmy to come with us to the zoo. It was a very busy place for a rainy day and there were lots of strollers. Mommy had to park our stroller in stroller parking when we went in the reptile house to see the snakes, lizards, turtles and fish. I like animals that move a lot and I can get close up to so I liked these animals a lot. Mommy and Kimmy liked the lions because they thought it was that the Daddy lion was walking around roaring at everyone! We also parked out stroller and went into the Monkey House to see the gorillas and Orangatans. There is a baby gorilla. She is four years old now but Mommy saw her a few years ago when she was first born. She weighed 4 pounds when she was born...that's a tiny monkey! We also visited the elephants but than the rain started coming down harder so we headed back to Kimmy's house where I met her kitty Bennie. Bennie kept trying to get Mommy but she was scared of me, so Mommy had to use me to fend her off (and I didn't mind protecting Mommy)!

Happy 5 Months to ME!

During my brief blogging hiatus...I officially turned 5 months old. I still don't know how to roll over but I hve learned how to do so many other things...I love to stand and could probably stand all by myself if I had the balance. I am also much better and sitting up without falling over and I am very good at making noises too! My Saba is impressed with how good I am at tracking moving objects and looking around to see who is talking to me. And I have a really strong grip...especially on things I'm not supposed to have like Mommy's hair and Mommy's laptop cord. Mommy and Daddy have no idea how much I weigh because I didn't have to go to the doctor for a five month checkup but Mommy is guessing I way about 14 pounds. I am still wearing my 3 month clothes but have started to wear some of my 3-6 month clothes too. I did put on a bigger onesie for my five month sticker picture. My Savta says I finally have creases in my creases like babies are supposed to have!

Mommy and her friend Shannon love to get together which is fun for me because I get to hang out with my buddy Logan. Lately Logan has been really happy to see me...he gets very excited and smiles when Mommy puts me close to him. Of course Mommy and Shannon posed me and Logan for some cute pictures after we went for our hilly walk. Mommy needs to walk everyday because she is supposed to be building up her leg muscles before her surgery so we invited Logan and Shannon to join us!

Mommy's friend Kerri got engaged awhile ago but she was so busy being her sister's maid of honor that we didn't have a chance to celebrate her engagament...so Mommy and Katie Carbo planned a special happy hour from Kerri's John Adams friends at Southside for the Thursday before spring break. Mommy dressed me up in one of my cutest new outfits so I could look extra cute for my pictures with Kerri.

Quality Time with Saba and Savta
This week Mommy was on Spring Break from school. Saba and Savta came to stay with us because Mommy had to have ACL replacement surgery on her knee after a hockey injury that happened back in January. Daddy had to go to Pittsburgh on a business trip so I got to spend some quality time with my Saba and Savta. Mommy has to use crutches to walk around so she can't really transport me...it was a good thing Saba and Savta came to help us and to play with me! While they were visiting, I showed Saba all of my favorite toys like my Baby Neptune Play Gym and my Rainforest Bouncer. My Saba was smitten with me...he thinks I am an angel! My Savta thinks I'm pretty cute too and sooo happy!

Since Saba and Savta were here taking care of Mommy and me all week...they decided to have the Passover seder at our house in Virginia this year. Savta packed most of her festive goodies and brought them down from New Jersey...things like her seder plate, her collection of frogs, her plague masques, her Haggadahs, her locust table decorations and her special Passover centerpiece that Mommy made for the seder a few years ago. Savta spent two days cooking and preparing for the seder. Mommy finally made her way downstairs to help on Friday by making the Charoset and the brownies and setting the table! For the actual Seder, everybody got a plague mask...Daddy was locusts, Mommy was lice and I was frogs. Aunt Orly and Daddy decided to wear frog hats during the seder and Mommy wore a frog mask too! Mommy put my frog mask on me to take some pictures but Saba told Mommy she was tortuing me. You're never young to get into the Passover spirit! Daddy fed me a bottle while Aunt Orly led the Seder. Saba was watching me and noticed that I stopped drinking my bottle when everyone started singing the four questions together. As soon as they finish singing, I resumed drinking my bottle...Saba and Mommy thought that was kind of interesting. After singing about the frogs jumping here and there and all over pharoah's bed...Mommy put me in my bouncer. I really enjoyed my first Amir Family Pesach!

Mommy was very sad when Saba, Savta and Aunt Orly had to leave to head back to New Jersey after spending the week with us...but I cheered her up with my huge smile and my bunny ears! Even though we don't really celebrate Easter... Mommy still thought I would make a very cute bunny so she got me bunny ears to wear with the bunny pajamas that my Aunt Beth and Uncle Yariv got for me when I was born. Nana came over to surprise us with Easter baskets and goodies. I got a board book in my mine and a collection of mini rubber duckies wearing bunny ears. Mommy thinks I'm going to have fun with those in the bathtub now that I love to play with toys while I'm in the tub. Later Mommy's friend Karen came over to see me and check out Mommy's knee. She had to pick up her wedding invitations that Savta did for her too.
