Surgery SLOWED Us Down
It's been a hard couple of weeks for us because of Mommy's ACL surgery. Mommy wasn't able to drive for almost four weeks so Daddy had to start waking up extra early to take me to Ms. Kim's house and drive Mommy to work every day. And because she couldn't drive, Mommy needed help getting to physical therapy three days a week so she had to rely on some of her friends to pick us up afterschool and play with me while she was working with her physical therapist. Luckily, Saba felt bad for Mommy and came down from New Jersey to help drive us around and play with me while Mommy was in physical therapy. We loved having Saba around! Between physical therapy and school...Mommy hasn't had much time to help me keep my blog updated...but my readers are waiting....so here it is! And Mommy promises that the next update will not be a month away.

Toes, Toes, Toes
I have always been a foot girl! When my friend Alexis takes my shoes and socks off and tickles my feet....I laugh and smile at her. And Mommy makes me squeal in delight when she blows raspberries on my feet and when she uses my feet as a microphone to sing into. But now that I am six months old...I am starting to entertain MYSELF with my feet! I love to take my socks off, grab my toes and hold my feet up in the air. I also love to kick my feet in excitement while I'm riding in my carseat. And I like to pinch Mommy and Daddy with my toes too...(Mommy says OUCH!). For Mommy's birthday, Daddy and me did a special project where we made a mold of my footprints. Daddy sent the mold to a special place and they pressurized the mold into a pink glass pendant that Mommy wears on a necklace. Mommy loves feet too...especially mine...so she really loved her present!

Look Who's Talking...
Okay...so I'm not really talking yet because I'm only six months old and I don't know any words...BUT lately I have started to communicate with everyone using lots of squeals, grunts and noises! I even talk to myself sometimes when I think nobody is listening to me, especially in the car and in my crib.
SWIMMING IN STYLE
Sundays are for swimming in style! Mommy can't swim with me right now because she has to wait for her surgery wounds to heal completely but that hasn't stopped her from dressing me up in my cutest swimsuits for my Splish Splash Baby Class with Daddy. Coach Lauren thought I looked so cute and stylish in my new yellow bathingsuit and so did all of the other mommies! I've been having so much fun with Daddy in the water lately and my swimming skills are really developing. When I'm on my tummy...I know that I am supposed to kick my legs and recently I've started splashing with my hands too. I don't try to drink the water anymore either...which Mommy and Daddy are happy about. I'm ready to graduate to the next class at Swim Kids for babies 6 months to 3 years but I'm waiting for an opening in the class so for now I am still going to my Splish Splash class with my friends from the mom's group.

Rockin the red...at the PLAYOFFS!
 |
| Wearing my foam hat after the game! |
Me, Mommy and Daddy are huge Caps fans and we've been waiting all season to rock the red at the playoffs. Mommy and Daddy were nervous to take me a first because the regular season games got pretty loud and playoff games are usually even louder. Mommy missed the first home game in the Boston Bruins series (round one) to stay home with me, but Saba watched me during the next game so Mommy could go to game four with Daddy! Daddy brought home a souvenir foam hockey stick hat for me to try on...I looked so cute! For game six, Mommy and Daddy couldn't find anyone to watch me...so they decided to bring me to the game. I wore my Caps jersey that the Bryant family got for me when I was a month old. It's still way too big but I have to rock the red! Mommy wanted me to wear earplugs to block out some of the noise but I wouldn't let her put them in my ears...luckily one of the ushers found some headbands that were from an old give away and Mommy used one on top of my hat to cover my ears. It wasn't as good as earplugs but it did drown out some of the noise! We were so happy because the Caps beat the Bruins in game seven in Boston and moved on to round two to play the Rangers (Saba's team). Mommy and Daddy took me to game three because it was an early Saturday game and I have my headband now to lessen the noise. Mommy and Daddy's season ticket holder friends were happy to have me there cheering for the Caps! I slept through the second period and didn't even wake up when the Caps scored! Daddy has been carrying me in the Baby Bjorn at the games because Mommy still can't walk that great from her surgery. Everyone points to me at the games and tells Mommy and Daddy how cute I am! Mommy and Daddy already know that...of course!

Six Month Sweetie
During my blogging break...I celebrated my first half birthday. I am officially six months old now! Here I am wearing my six month onesie sticker in a three month sized onesie. Mommy and Daddy can't believe how fast I am growing up. I haven't gone to the doctor for my six month well baby checkup because of Mommy's busy physical therapy schedule but I am going next Monday. Mommy is excited to see how much I weigh and how long I am measuring. I'll update you with my stats soon!
I change so much everydayLately I've become a cuddler...I love to cuddle with Mommy at night before bedtime. I also love to smile, laugh, squeal, blow bubbles and kick my feet in excitement. I also love to play with Daddy. I have a few new favorite toys...my O ball, my rooster and my musical monkey.

| Daddy and me posing in my highchair before my first feeding! |
Lately Mommy and Daddy have been noticing me watching them eat. I follow their spoons closely with my eyes and open my mouth whenever they open their mouths. Sometimes I even reach for Mommy's food. So... Mommy and Daddy decided that I must be ready to try solid foods. To get ready for the big day, Daddy unpacked the highchair and got it set up for me. Mommy started me with rice cereal for my first feeding. I liked it but I got frustrated quickly and just wanted my regular milk in a bottle. Mommy and Daddy gave me rice cereal at dinner time for a whole week. I started to get used to it and actually opened my mouth nice and big a few times for Mommy...of course I wore more food than I ate! The next food we tried was bananas! Daddy thinks I like the bananas but Mommy thinks I hate them! I've had bananas for two days and I've cried during dinner both times and spit most of it out. Mommy tried to warm it up but I still didn't want it. Mommy and Daddy noticed that I do a funny shiver everytime I get a big bite. Mommy says we are going to try one more day of bananas but if I don't like them on day three than I don't have to have them!

Dynamic Duo soon to be Terriffic Trio
Me and Alexis are best buddies already but soon it won't be just the two of us because Ms. Kim is having another baby girl and she is due on July 5th. We can't wait to meet her! Here are some of my Mommy's favorite pictures from the Daily Doses that Ms. Kim sends her while she is at work.
