Griffy turns 11 months

Griffin turns ONE!
After celebrating Grandma Sylvia's big birthday in March, we had a quiet few months before it was time to celebrate again for Griffy's first birthday in May.  We had a party at our house and invited some family and friends. Griffy and me helped get the house ready for the party by doing some outdoor cleaning with Saba.  We helped sweep the deck and fill the ice buckets.  We also helped Daddy do the Costco shopping for all of the birthday goodies.  Lucky for me, most of Griffy's friends are my friends so I got to see all of my best buddies too!  Griffy's birthday was dinosaur themed and he had a delicious cake.  He actually enjoyed eating the cucumbers more than the cake but that's mostly because he was teething and the cold cucumbers probably felt good on his teeth.  Everyone had so much fun playing and hanging out...especially me! (And Griff)

CAPS Commercial
In addition to Griffy's first birthday, we had some other fun spring highlights.  Our family was interviewed to be in a Caps commercial and we made the official cut...so all of our friends who are Caps fans started calling us during intermission when our commercial was played during intermissions.  Our season ticket holder friends that sit near us managed to get a screen shot of us in the commercial and printed it out for us.  Surprisingly, only a few people asked us for our autographs which is good because I can't sign my name yet and Griffy can't even make his G yet...Maybe the Caps will feature us again since we are the Caps cutest fans!

International Night at John Adams

Do I make a cute Bolivian?

In April, I went to Mommy's school and dressed up for the International Night parade in some beautiful clothes from Bolivia where my daycare teacher Vigdonia is from.  Griffy dressed up too but he wasn't as thrilled about all of the people there and made Mommy hold him for most of the time.  I was happy that my other daycare teacher, Kenia, was there with her daughters who go to Mommy's school.  They were dressed up for Mexico because that's where Kenia is from.  We took some pictures together.  My good buddy Sammy, from daycare was also there dressed up in Mexican clothes because his Daddy is from Mexico and his Mommy and brother go to John Adams with my Mommy.

And the most exciting thing that happened to Mommy and Daddy this spring is that I became fully potty trained!  Now they just need to get Griffy out of diapers!  Ha...I think they have a long way to go with him!
